Every summer, the trees around Longtan are adorned with strings of golden petals, and the "Abelmoschus esculentus" is known as the "Golden Rain Tree." In July and August, the surrounding "Tung Oil Trees" bear fruit, serving both as a Chinese medicinal material and as a means of ecological restoration. Through the Taoyuan Landscape Art Festival, participants will become acquainted with the surrounding landscape and the ecology of local plants. The knowledgeable guide will then lead the group on a bike ride or walk to the Water Body Eco Park, a significant contributor in addressing eutrophication issues in Longtan's Dachi. The park features various facilities, including observation platforms, bubbling spring hills, ecological ponds, and water play areas, creating a versatile space for education, leisure, and recreation.
The final stop will be at Shanglin Village in Taoyuan's Longtan, where participants will get to know the main center of local beliefs known as "Kaizhuang Bogong." It is likely the earliest established temple of its kind in the neighborhood. In this enriching three-hour experience, participants will gain insights into both the environment and culture of Longtan, broadening their perspectives in these two realms.
