River of Life

River of Life

To prevent fish in shallow waters from dying due to sudden climate changes, multi-aperture and permeable hydraulic engineering structures, such as groins and alike, are often used to create backflow areas as shelters for fish. Such structures are also able to stabilize riverbeds and slow down the water flow to protect the foundation of embankment and meanwhile are conducive to the habitation of aquatic insects, thus becoming a good habitat for fish.
This work is designed as a groin engineering structure with swings along the river, which will trigger the audiences' interest and curiosity to further facilitate understanding and discussion of ecological engineering methods. On the other hand, this work resembles the flow of water and the growing of flora and fauna, representing not only the migration route of fish but also the direction of all creatures to settle down.
