Life of Intimate Waterfront

Life of Intimate Waterfront

This work is designed based on the ecology along the Nankan River. It begins with a night heron and ends with a fish tail, naturally diverting the audiences' attention to the river. While being close to riverbanks in our daily lives, we're able to observe the convergence of many lives and do our parts in safeguarding an environment that is friendly to all creatures.

LO Yuan-Hung, now returning to and residing in his hometown in Meinong, attended the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival in 2014 and then worked as artist-in-residence at the Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum in 2015. In the same year, he participated in the production of Returning to Satoyama by the Assignment Theatre and toured to Japan's Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, where he witnessed the Japanese artists' integration of agriculture and arts and thus put the aesthetics of agricultural life into practice. He absorbs the nutrition from the land and transforms it into moving landscapes.
