Walking the Path of Taoyuan Land Art Festival
Location：Hutoushan Innovation Hub: Multifunctional Hall
Date：11th Mar. （Fri）-27th Mar. （Sun） 10:00 - 18:00
Introduced by the Taoyuan City Government in 2013, the Taoyuan Land Art Festival is an annual event hosted in the different administrative districts of Taoyuan. Today, it has become Taoyuan’s unique “mobile” land art festival.
The festival preaches the themes of “local awakening,” “community land art movement,” and “art foundation” as well as the core values of “community participation,” “local characteristics,” “environmental sustainability,” and “circular economy,” transforming the festival into a unique “brand.”
The 2021+ Taoyuan Land Art Festival will be held in Taoyuan District, the first time that the festival is held in a metropolitan area. The festival passes through the old Taolin Railway and uses the Hutoushan Innovation Hub as the starting point of its exhibitions.
Inspired by the idea of the “spirit” of the Taolin Railway, visitors are brought on a journey into the past where they will catch a glimpse of the evolution of the festival since its inception, witness the changes in Taoyuan’s landscapes as a result of the artworks presented by the festival, and discover and feel the changes in Taoyuan’s human culture because of Taoyuan’s land art.
