Pool-Loop

Pool-Loop

Pool-Loop is an artistic intervention located in a vast bitumed zone. A tree, located in front of a garage caught my attention by its particular situation: alone, cornered to this garage and facing the arid place. This immense and inanimate place made me want to reintroduce a fluidity, a wet natural presence. A sort of visual and perceptive ecosystem that mixes urbanism and vegetation.
The first part of intervention, situated on the ground of the area consists on tracing road signal lines, drawing an impression of concentration or expansion wave flows and propose new perspectives of reading the space. The second part of the intervention will be done on the tree: thanks to a system, programmed in a loop, spraying in micro-drops of water, the spectator will assist at the foggy disappearance and reappearance of the tree and feel a tactile and calorific relationship between surroundings and him.

Since 1999, the year of her installation in Taiwan, she treats sculpture as a place of passage, a vehicle of transformation, as a body secreting or secreted rather than a permanent formal object. She apprehends the body as an element not isolated from the environment and the forces surrounding it.
